"You are whole and complete souls delighting in the creation of multiple incarnations in which you expand awareness, gain wisdom through lived experiences, and celebrate life.
Whether your lives are happy or full of sorrow, you believe the stories you tell yourself and others, because it makes the games you play together more enjoyable." - AMAG This blog contains some of the stories I tell myself. I hope you enjoy them. Thank you for leaving comments or suggestions of topics you'd like to hear about.

![]() AMAG says that we always have authority over the thoughts that we're entertaining in our heads. Like invited guests, thoughts are allowed to move in and get comfortable. However, like uninvited guests, we sometimes want certain thoughts to leave. In order to clear out the uninvited or unwanted, unhelpful thoughts, it's necessary to declare whose house (mind and body) it is. Declare ownership! Remember your sovereignty and demand that only the most helpful, positive, loving, and kind thoughts remain. We have the power to choose how we wish to respond to whatever is going on around us at any time. We may not have personally created the current state of affairs in our community, but we can choose, and are choosing all the time, how we wish to respond to those affairs. Do we whine and complain about corruption in local government? Or do we take the time to discover who is the most honest, trustworthy candidate for any given position. Do we give up in disgust, washing our hands of what is happening in the world, telling ourselves that we have no power to change anything? Or do we declare sovereignty in our own lives. Can we choose something different? Yes. The decision to choose something different results in exactly that: something different. Have you noticed what happens in your life when you change your viewpoint, change jobs, or change your personal relationships at work or at home? A whole array of alternatives appear as soon as you are willing to take responsibility for deciding to choose something other than whatever you have been choosing. Once you have declared your sovereignty, gather up the courage to take action on the new choices. Move along the new paths that open to you. What happens when you declare autonomy, independence, and self-determination? Freedom. Freedom from negativity and especially from others' opinions. Remember that you can always choose. AMAG suggests the following steps in reply to those who ask how to maintain integrity: "Decide to choose. Choose from among the many alternatives that appear. Act on at least one of the alternatives and follow through until you're satisfied with the results."
