 It has been snowing lightly nearly all day and the blanket of snow makes everything quiet. I watched deer resting under the branches of oak and juniper trees in our backyard this morning. They reminded me of something Voltaire said: "Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well." They seemed so much at peace with the weather, just quietly chewing and not complaining. Excellent!
