I decided today, right along with most of the population, to make at least one New Year's resolution. The one I believe I'll be able to keep is to eat according to Dr. Junger's CLEAN program for at least 30 days. This means I'll eliminate five items from my diet: caffeine, alcohol, sugar, gluten, and dairy products. I dont think going without four of these food groups will constitute a huge sacrifice, but I'm not sure I'll be able to give up my morning coffee. However, I recently discovered a product called Dandy Blend, which is a surprisingly delicious coffee substitute made out of dandelion and other herbs. It's good hot or cold and is really satisfying. I'd love to lose a few pounds gained post hip-replacement surgery and have high hopes this will be a good way to jump start the new year. Wish me luck!
